Study on Planning, Budgeting, Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Capital Budgeting.We collected and analysed data on the legal, policy, institutional and administrative framework for planning and budgeting at the national, regional and district level within the framework of the Inter-Governmental Fiscal Decentralisation Framework (IDF). We carried out consultation with stakeholders across all levels and held a one-day workshops to discuss the study findings and to develop an action plan.

Feasibility Study of the Proposed AfD Funded Rural and Peri-Urban Water and Sanitation Project in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana:In association with BURGEAP of France and COLAN Consult, Ghana, we carried out the feasibility studies in all districts in the region. we assessed the following parameters among several others: willingness of potential beneficiary communities to pay for different water and sanitation facilities; the level of organization and technical skills of the beneficiary communities to manage and maintain proposed water supply facilities; the level of awareness and willingness of the communities to engage the private sector in rural water supply; and the hygiene conditions and sanitation needs in the rural areas. We also defined the governance support activity, hygiene education support and follow up activities and capacity building support at national, regional, district and community level under the proposed project.

Study onPublic Expenditure Review of the Water Sector in Ghana: Together with other international consultants, we collected and analysed data on the sector situation, analysed the legal and institutional framework for sector activities, analysed investments and outputs of interventions in the sector and estimated the level of investments required to meet MGDs. We also organised two (2) one-day workshops to discuss the study findings and to develop an action plan.

Study on Aid Effectiveness, Alignment and Harmonisation of the Ghana Water Sector:In Association with COWI Consult of Denmark, we were carried out the following activities under the study: assessment of alignment and harmonisation situation in the water sector in Ghana; proposed recommendations on the use of tools (e.g. pooled funding arrangements) used elsewhere to improve sector alignment and harmonisation; prepared an action plan to improve harmonisation in the sector; formulated a draft code of good conduct as a first step  towards a more harmonized tool (Sector Wide Approach); organisation and facilitation of a one-day workshop in Accra for all development partners and major Ghana Government counterpart officials

Compilation of Comprehensive Strategy Document for the National Community Water and Sanitation Programme.We were tasked to collate and review the various strategies that guided the implementation of the NCWSP and identify a list of best practices that have been applied in the implementation of the programme; identify issues and gaps in the sub sector that in pinch upon smooth implementation of the programme; and to conduct a series of consultations, discussions and technical working sessions in the regions or zones with stakeholders to deliberate on identified issues and gaps, as well as recommendations.;

Facilitation of Strategic Planning Workshop for the West Africa Water Initiative (WAWI): We facilitated discussions among participants to review the current situation with regards to the implementation status of WAWI Phase I, determine the challenges and capacity constraints confronting WAWI Ghana towards efficient implementation of the strategic plan; and to make recommendations for improved programme delivery. We also wrote a report on proceedings of the workshop.
